Dear HYGA clubs and rowers,

We have very carefully considered the running of the HYGA Winter Series Round 7 Race on 30th January 2022.

We would always want our event to be enjoyable, safe and fair for visiting rowing crews and are mindful also of the safety of our own mix of club members and that of the local community.

So regretfully I must advise that we would rather everyone enjoyed a memorable BCRC event next year and so will have to cancel this year’s BCRC event.

Cancellation in advance gives everyone as much notice as possible and means we would also not seek to make any event cancellation cost claims on HYGA.

As an alternative, are organising a Mixed 3km Home Waters race which you can take part in on either Saturday 29th January or Sunday 30th January with prizes for the top 3 clubs. Please see the separate Notice of Race for details (Note, this race will not be part of the Winter Series).

Stay safe, we look forward to seeing you all on the water soon, and one day in the bar also.
