Mersea Island Rowing Club are pleased to be able to have the use of Mersea Yacht Club, 116 Coast Road, West Mersea CO5 8PB

All Sailing Club facilities are available to competitors. Food and drink will be available on the first floor. The first floor has been made available for our exclusive use for the day.
Breakfast Rolls will be available from 10.00am.
Itinerary:

10.00 Club opens
10.30 Breakfast available at WMYC.
11.00 Registration

Race briefing to be attended by Coxes (and one additional crew member only).
time will be available (GPS) and watches will be synchronised. Radio Checks to be carried out before the start of the first race with
each Gig – Race Control will be VHF channel 37a (M1). Start times below (could vary due to circumstances)

Race 1: Ladies Race – Start 12.30
Race 2: Men’s Race – Start 13.15
Race 3: Mixed Race – Start 14.00

Prize giving aim 3pm, as soon as possible after last event dependent on protests.

Launching:
Launching will be from the Hard – accessed via slip opposite the Old lifeboat Shed or opposite the Chandlers on Coast Road. Beach Marshalls will be on hand to signpost and help organise launching, however as usual Clubs remain responsible for the safe launching of their boats. Launch crews will need Waders, and crew members should also be aware that they may need to enter the water to get into gigs
