Rowing…
In addition to any gigs that visiting clubs bring with them, Towy Boat Club have kindly offered to take rowers out in their pair of Celtic Longboats, and have-a-go sessions in their coastal sliding sculls (2X/4X).

Then, depending on the weather, there is the potential for adventure rows to:
• Beaches at Ferryside
• Beaches at Llansteffan Castle
• Beaches at Ginst Point
Up the Towy river to Camarthern for a drink in the town, then back
Up the Taf river to Laugharne and back
We’d also plan to hold some fun 1K short races in Celtic Longboats for multiple crews to participate.

Exploring…
Very much up for individuals or small groups to decide, but suggestions include:
• Coastal walk to Llansteffan Castle
• Visit to Carmarthen
• Visit to Laugharne with its castle and the home of Dylan Thomas
• Visit to castles at Dinefwr (near Llandeilo) or Carreg Cennen
• Visit to the Gower: Rhossili and Worms Head or Three-Cliffs Bay
• Visit to NT Colby Woods & Amroth
• Visit to Tenby & Caldey Island
• Visit to Stackpole Quay and the beach at Barafundle Bay
• And plenty more…

Sleeping…
Towy Boat Club have kindly offered to accommodate up to 12 pitches on the lawn beside their clubhouse for anyone wishing to camp at the club for the weekend. In addition there should be space on the hardstanding for number of campervans. These will be first come, first serve, and can be chosen when booking your place via Eventbrite.

Access to the clubhouse, with toilets, hot showers, a communal fridge and kitchen will be available for the weekend.

In addition, people are welcome to arrange their own accommodation and then just drive to Towy Boat Club each day, with plenty of options in the local area including:
• Holiday cottages / AirBnBs
• Campsites
• Pantyrathro International Hostel
• Hotels in Carmarthen

Travelling…
Our suggestion would be to coordinate lifts with fellow club members to reduce the number of cars making the journey, but alternative options could include taking the train to Carmarthen (direct to London and/or connecting via Swansea – check if they’ll be running over the bank holiday!) and then we could coordinate pick ups for people (or there’s an hourly bus, or taxis).

Confirming your place…
A small fee of £10 per person is asked to confirm your place and contribute towards planning and coordination of the weekend.

And if, as a club, you are unable to bring your own boat, then we can still try to provide some opportunities for rowing for you. Let us know your plans when booking.

Any questions or to express an interest or ask for the booking form, please email wivenhoecorsairs@gmail.com in the first instance.
